Erin is a Bear Riverite who decided to take matters into her own hands and raise some money for the Oakdene Centre. This former school now houses the Visitor Information Centre along with some artist studios and a hair salon.
Last winter, the auditorium was the venue for “Secret Seeds”, an evening of performance art. Erin was one of the performers so you might say that she’s had her Bear River stage début at the Oakdene. The building is in need of repairs so Erin decided to collect donations at the recent Cherry Carnival event in Bear River.
